Saturday, June 20th: 8:30 - 11am Join a volunteer effort to maintain the beautiful Bonneville Boulevard Trailhead by completing weeding and trail maintenance tasks! These efforts will help keep the trail clean, safe, and free of pesky invasive weeds. Bring sun protection, water, gloves, and clothing you're comfortable working in.

Join our Public Lands Trails Team for weekly trail volunteer sessions (10 max) on Wednesdays mornings. Sessions last 4-6 hours and require a high level of physical fitness. You'll be working with Trails and Natural Lands staff and learning the ins and outs of trail maintenance.

Saturday, June 13th: 9AM to 11AM Join a volunteer effort to help clean up the Jordan River Trail! Volunteers can expect to pick up litter/debris, remove invasive weeds, or prune/trim trees. Removing trash and invasive weeds helps to mitigate urban impacts on the vulnerable Jordan River ecosystem. Our clean-ups help to promote the welfare of Utah wildlife while also making the trail safer for both recreators and commuters. Join a volunteer effort to help preserve and restore the historic Allen Park by completing various debris removal tasks! What to Expect: We will join an effort with our Public Lands team to beautify walkways and clear out plant material from around the historic buildings. Volunteers will be working in tall grass and thick bushes that may have thorns. Please wear LONG PANTS AND LONG SLEEVES. Tasks include but are not limited to: pruning, sweeping, raking, weeding, and lifting. This work is essential to preserving these historic structures and reducing the risk of fires in the area. When and Where: - June 17, 6-8pm, Allen Park - There is no parking inside the park. Please plan accordingly to find nearby street parking and walk to the Volunteer Check-in location (Allen Lodge) inside. - Enter the park on foot at the 1300S entrance. We will meet at Allen Lodge in the middle, then walk up to our project site on the east end of the park. - Here is an exact Google Maps pin of where to meet: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6sYqs9j4EueK2nka8 What to bring: - Dress for the weather. LONG PANTS AND LONG SLEVES ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED as we will be in tall grass and thick bushes that may have thorns. - Gardening/work gloves (leather is recommended for thorny bushes, extras will be provided) - Closed-toed shoes - Water bottle - Sun protection Thank you for your efforts to take care of our shared public spaces!

Enjoy summertime and make new friends while giving back to Liberty Park! This volunteer effort will focus on beautifying and maintaining the park through tasks like weeding, mulching, and trash pickup, which will contribute to cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable public spaces in the park. Bring water, close-toed shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and gloves if you have them (we will provide extras).
