Salt Lake City Public Lands
Interested in getting your hands dirty and helping grow the future of our public lands? Join the Trails & Natural Lands Division's Native Plant Program for weekly volunteer sessions in our temporary home in the University of Utah greenhouse! Volunteers will be assisting in the production of native plants for restoration projects around the city. Tasks will include transplanting, seed starting, pot and tray washing, greenhouse organization, and more. Most of the work will be done within the greenhouse so make sure to dress for sun, bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and water. Feel free to bring your own gardening gloves if desired. But gloves and necessary tools will be provided. Sessions are available every Sunday from 9:00am–12:00pm and 1:00pm–4:00pm. Space is limited to 8 volunteers per session. There is limited parking at the greenhouse, but there is plenty of parking on Sundays across the street (Pollock rd) to the north of the greenhouse. Here's a google maps pin of the parking lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VZeJsohJCnmDt8Wz6
