Volunteers will join our Trails & Natural Lands team in planting small trees at the Fred & Ila Rose Fife Wetland Area, and join our Parks team in important tree care tasks at the 9-line Community Orchard. Location: 9th S. River Park (999 Genesee Ave.) Parking: Street parking is available throughout the surrounding area (no central lot). Carpooling and/or taking public transit is encouraged! Project Activities: Planting trees, adding tree wells to existing trees, picking up trash, removing foliage What We’ll Provide: Tools Water Gloves (while supplies last) Lunch What Volunteers Should Bring: Water bottle Work gloves (optional, but recommended) Clothing suitable for outdoor work Sunscreen Schedule: 9:30 AM - Volunteers can begin to check in 10 AM - Orientation & safety demonstrations 10:15 AM-12:15 PM - Projects 12:15 PM - Return tools 12:30-1 PM - Lunch
