Salt Lake City Public Lands

Join a volunteer effort to help preserve and restore the historic Allen Park by completing various debris removal tasks! What to Expect: We will join an effort with our Public Lands team to beautify walkways and clear out plant material from around the historic buildings. Volunteers will be working in tall grass and thick bushes that may have thorns. Please wear LONG PANTS AND LONG SLEEVES. Tasks include but are not limited to: pruning, sweeping, raking, weeding, and lifting. This work is essential to preserving these historic structures and reducing the risk of fires in the area. When and Where: - June 17, 6-8pm, Allen Park - There is no parking inside the park. Please plan accordingly to find nearby street parking and walk to the Volunteer Check-in location (Allen Lodge) inside. - Enter the park on foot at the 1300S entrance. We will meet at Allen Lodge in the middle, then walk up to our project site on the east end of the park. - Here is an exact Google Maps pin of where to meet: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6sYqs9j4EueK2nka8 What to bring: - Dress for the weather.
